When Kevin first saw the movie, the word "Hey" was never spoken. The line immediately before "I'm gonna give you to the count of ten" was "I'll tell you what I'm gonna give you, Snakes". Although not explicitly mentioned, it could be a connecting flight which departs the Europe from another airport. In this case, flying a short or medium range aircraft to reach a hub airport would be plausible. When Marley enters the store, his right boot swaps from soaking wet to dry between shots. That would explain it only if the light came on when Kevin "activated" it.
Since it's the holiday season again, let's examine some of the continuity errors that were present in the movie. Alex's pet rat is named Doris, but from what's obvious from a number of shots, the rat used is male. Calls initiated by police or other emergency services show on caller ID as a standard seven-digit phone number, not 911. In the shot before a criminal tries to cut the plastic yarn the clips were folded down. Later in the shot where the criminal gets out his pocket knife the clips are folded up. When Alex is playing around with Mrs Hess's TV, Alex is pointing the remote at the TV through an open curtained window.
When Kevin walks into Buzz's room looking for his family after being left alone, on the bottom right of the frame you can see a crew member's leg. When Marv grabs Kevin by the leg as Kevin attempts to run up the stairs and into the attic. Kevin puts Buzz's tarantula on Marv's face in order to force Marv to let go of his leg. Kevin was carrying Buzz's rifle on his back and it hadn't occurred to him to whack Marv with it which could had knocked out Marv or hit him in the arm, which the pain would had forced Marv to let go. The stained glass window in the church is different in the interior and exterior shots.
But when Mrs Hess steps into the room to look at the TV you can see the curtains are clearly closed. When Alice and Jernigan enter the bedroom, Alice steps on a pump, inflating a beach ball under a toy monkey. Remember that Kevin didn't give his name, nor did the police ever see him.
During the remote control car chase the bad guys' minivan drives directly over it at one point. When Mrs. McCallister receives the phone call about the police finding Kevin, as soon as she answers the phone, notice the white shirt behind her on the bed. When she tells the family they found him, the camera goes back to her and the shirt is in a totally different position. When Kevin jumps off the hotel loading dock, Harry has his hands up. This displays the 'M' burnt into Harry's palm in the first movie.
Harry and Marv were career criminals, who expect to spend some time in jail or prison. Considering how they were caught and the police being able to link them to burglaries where the water was left running, it would be likely that they pleaded guilty in exchange for a shorter sentence. When the robbers are in Duncan's Toy Chest at midnight, Kevin sets up his board on the bucket outside the window. He then knocks on the window, takes the robber's picture, then runs back away and pulls a rock out of his pocket to throw through it. But he wouldn't have been able to run back that far without jumping over the bucket and board, and he did not jump or avoid any obstacles.
When Kevin lands in the treehouse, he's at the back with his feet through the wall. Given where the rope is tied to the tree, he would have hit into the tree or the door frame of the treehouse, not at the back wall. After the family leaves Kevin behind, he goes to a nearby supermarket, where he buys a couple of essentials.

Watch the window he passes, there is a crew member standing there with his arms folded watching. The burn mark from the front door of the McCallister residence is briefly seen on Harry's right hand when Kevin comes flying towards him from running out of the Plaza Hotel. However at the same time, the original hand position Harry had was actually using that right hand, with his thumb facing downward, which should've hand the burn mark facing sideways as opposed to vertical. When the tool chest pushes the door Marv and Harry have their ears pressed against, the long shot clearly reveals that they are standing on a skateboard as they are pushed backwards. Harr tells Marv the plan is to wait in the toy houses until everyone leaves then then empty the cash registers and walk out.

There is no explanation about why Old Man Marley had a bloody rag on his hand while in the store or BandAids on his hand when he and Kevin shake hands in the church. However, the novelization by Todd Strassman explains that when he was in the store, he cut his hand on the blade of his shovel by accident. Even without the novelization's explanation, it is still possible that he had blisters on his hand caused by shoveling snow which burst, necessitating the bandage. In the "Kevin's plan" montage, Kevin hoses the outside steps down to the basement.
After Alex calls the police the first time, his mother herds him into his room. When they first enter there is a shot of his bed, the top pillowcase's open end is first facing right. Then there is a close up of Alex and the open end is facing left. It continues switching to the right whenever the shot is from farther away, to the left when it's a close up of Alex. Two shots later when the attendant says, "Well, go find an empty seat," in the background you will see the exact same man taking his coat off a second time. When Harry and Marv run out the toy store's broken window, near the end of the movie, there are several shots of them where we see into the store behind them.
mistakes
When the police officer visits the house to see if Kevin is home alone, Kevin is in his parents bedroom and daylights pours through the window. Clearly this was filmed at the same time as the popcorn montage. The external shots of the policeman, however, were shot at night. The timing of the exchanges between Kevin's parents and the local police would also indicate that it would still be day time for Kevin. They did but the power and phone lines were down due to a tree branch that had fallen on them the night before the family left. A flight attendant on their plane mentions that attempts had been made to call the McAllisters' home but "the phones are still out of order".
When Alice does flips to try and get on to the back porch of the house, her hair is different after she turns around to walk towards the door. Alex rings the bell to get his Mom's attention and the box's position changes between shots. Near the end of the movie when the parrot is going to light the firecrackers, he is talking perfectly even though he has a match in his mouth. But how did he call the police at the end if the phone lines were down. The poster is in one piece yet Kevin had cut it out the previous night to make Michael Jordan look like a real person. It thus makes no sense for the poster to reappear again in full after Kevin already cut it.

In the church Old Man Marley's granddaughter is seen with red straight hair, but when Kevin looks out his window on Christmas day and sees Old Man Marley hugging his granddaughter she has brown curly hair instead. When Kate asks her for the final count Heather says 11 kids including me, 5 boys, 6 girls which is correct but she just doesn't realize she counted herself twice. One theory is that Devin Ratray actually mistakenly put Kristin Minter off and the actress herself knowing the script called for 11 people assumed she hadn't actually counted herself and did so again. When Kevin is in Buzz's bedroom, he finds in the box a picture of Buzz's girlfriend. This is actually a picture of the art director's son dressed up to look like a girl, because the director, Chris Columbus, thought it would be too harsh to make fun of a girl like that. When Kevin rides the rig on the rope to get to the treehouse, you can see that it was a stuntman who is much taller than Kevin and looks nothing like him.
The 'M' should have been sideways because he grabbed the hot door knob at 90° in the first film. When Kevin checked into the Plaza, the credit card was manually processed by the receptionist. However, the Concierge later runs the same card electronically and the screen flashes "stolen." The hotel wouldn't have both systems in place for credit cards. They would have had to call the credit card company to verify the status if they used a manual processing system.
Home Alone: 10 Continuity Errors You Missed In The Holiday Movie
Kevin finds himself in New York City airport with an airline ticket to Miami. The customs officials should still check on him and have noticed the error. Marv and Harry get away with clothes theft at the rink, scaring Kevin in-front of Duncan's Toy Chest and grabbing a few of the children on the field trip in Central Park with no comeuppance, despite witnesses. Kevin is seen buying fireworks in Chinatown when he first arrives in New York City.
One of the best parts of the film is when Kevin uses an old black and white movietitled Angels With Filthy Souls to scare the pizza guy as well as the Wet Bandits. It was made for Home Alone and it's a reference to the 1938 movie Angels With Dirty Faces. Right before Harry and Marv step into a pile of little toy cars and falls, Harry's body had been covered in bird feathers. However, in the next scene, there are absolutely no feathers on his clothes or face. They mysteriously disappear without him washing his body or picking the feathers.
Kevin - Allein in New York
In the next shot, he has no feathers on him at all, they just mysteriously disappear. Kevin purchases a large bottle of laundry detergent at the grocery store. While walking home, the two plastic grocery bags he is carrying burst spilling their contents.
In this movie, he tells the bellhop when he is escorted to his hotel room that he is ten years old. This movie takes place exactly one year later, so Kevin should be nine in this movie, not ten. When the camera is moving towards Marv like the bag of cement would, the falling rope is not visible in front of Marv like in the previous shot.
